The Opportunity:

Join Wingecarribee Shire Council in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of our roads and infrastructure. As a Plant Operator for Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in operational upkeep, repair, and rejuvenation of our community's essential assets. Working collaboratively across various multidisciplinary areas and project teams, you will contribute your expertise under direct supervision, executing a diverse range of manual labour and skilled tasks. Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) operating medium to large plant and machinery relevant to the field equipment including trucks, rollers, excavators, graders and manual handling tasks.
  2. Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment, and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  3. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devises effectively, embracing digital solutions for work activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day-to-day operations.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
  5. Hold and maintain MR Drivers Licence, Ticket or Competency qualification to operate Excavator, Grader or Backhoe, Forklift Licence, Traffic Control Combo ticket and WHS induction card with a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment Asbestos Awareness Training, Identify Locate and Protect Underground Services, Work Safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker.
  6. Be willing to undergo pre-employment Medical prior to commencement.
