Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Infrastructure (Construction Team).

  • Permanent full time – 38 hours per week
  • Location - Moree
  • Attractive Salary starting from $52,473 to $59,724 depending on qualifications and experience (PLUS Superannuation)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Plant Operator (Roller) will be required to effectively operate a Padfoot, Multi-tyred or Flat Roller to undertake heavy patching and construction works within the Shire.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications: 

  • Certificate lll in Local Government Operational Works/Civil Construction or equivalent 
  • Relevant experience in the operational procedures of a Roller in a construction and maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork skills together with the ability to work unsupervised and assist in the organisation, supervision and day to day activities of a worksite.
  • General Construction and Induction card
  • Current NSW Class C Driver Licence (Manual)

Please note:  Applicants who do not hold the Certificate III relevant qualification, however have relevant demonstrated experience are still encouraged to apply however must commit to gaining the qualification upon commencement.
