We are seeking a motivated Plant Operator to join our City Works Civil team. In this position you will be responsible for assisting work site operations in construction and maintenance activities of Council's infrastructure. You will use your experience and skills to drive a diverse range of plant in a range of environments.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

You will hold current a current Class C driver's licence and an WHS Construction Induction Training certificate. You will also have experience in using an excavator and backhoe on civil sites, recent experience in general labouring/concreting duties, an ability to work effectively as part of a team and understand the application of Workplace Health and Safety principles whilst working on civil sites.

As well as plant operation, manual tasks including concreting and other physical labouring duties are a major component of this role. You should be physically capable to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description. As part of the recruitment process, you may be required to undertake a practical assessment and pre-employment medical checks.

This position is based on a 9-day fortnight with a regular roster day and may include some overtime and weekend work as required.
