Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
PAYROLL MANAGER (Permanent)
Responsible for developing and implementing payroll policies and processes and the overall management and delivery of all payroll functions for Griffith City Council ensuring compliance with Laws and Taxation obligations and supervising the payroll team in accordance with Council policies and procedures and statutory requirements.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will require Diploma in Payroll Administration or Accounting field or demonstrated extensive relevant experience in a senior Payroll position. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require a comprehensive understanding with interpretation of awards and legislation in relation to payroll, and extensive knowledge of the Payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes and superannuation legislation.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary range from $108,102.72 to $118,908.24 (Grade 19), plus Superannuation.
