ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The CBD Caretaker is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the central business district including footpaths, garden beds, street furniture, town parks and playgrounds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the central business district is presented to the public in a clean, tidy and fit-for-purpose manner
- Undertake maintenance tasks which include but are not limited to, litter collection, weed control, gum/stain removal on footpaths and cleaning of public spaces
- Undertake Footpath Sweeping, Whipper Snipping, Mowing, Blowing, Furniture and Sign maintenance
As the CBD Caretaker role works independently to the wider Parks team, you will be required to work autonomously and demonstrate a high-level of initiative. Attention to detail and a sense of pride in the quality of your work and the presentation of our CBD are essential in this role.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight on a team-based 9-day fortnight.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 5 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $2242 - $2522 per fortnight plus superannuation.
