Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced Painter to complete high-quality planned and reactive commercial painting services across a critical healthcare facility. Based on-site in Southport, you’ll ensure interior and exterior maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high standards, contributing to an essential public health environment.

The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform painting, minor plastering, and surface preparation for both interior and exterior areasWater blasting, mould treatment, and sanding/stripping surfacesUse the work management system to receive, complete, and document workProvide excellent communication and service to clients and stakeholdersAdhere to BGIS safety policies and procedures and site-specific regulations

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

Relevant painting qualification and industry experience (Cert III Painting & Decorating minimum)Strong understanding of preparation techniques, paint types, and application methodsExceptional attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to work autonomously and within a teamPhysically fit with full Australian working rights

Desirable:

Healthcare or high-compliance environment experienceStrong time management and communication skills
