We’re looking for an Optometry Technician to join our Townsville team, supporting a groundbreaking approach to eyecare through remote optometry consultations. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

Your responsibilities

• Guide patients through the remote optometry process, sitting with them during consultations, and ensuring a seamless experience

• Perform pre-test clinical scans, including WAM, Optos, OCT, and slit lamp procedures

• Provide exceptional support to the optometrist during remote consultations

• Help drive a positive and innovative team culture

• Maintain a calm, professional manner when navigating technology and equipment challenges

About you

• Previous retail, optical, or healthcare experience is a plus, but not essential

• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to make people feel at ease

• A passion for delivering outstanding patient care

• Curious, adaptable, and eager to step into a new way of working

• Comfortable using technology and willing to learn clinical equipment operation

• Able to work collaboratively and support team goals
