Salary from $86,411.27 up to $92,780.60 per annum plus superannuation.

(Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)

We are seeking an experienced Ocean Lifeguard Supervisor to join our dedicated and professional Lifeguard services team.

About the role

You will ensure that residents and visitors to our city enjoy our beaches with public water safety education and exceptional customer service as our primary focus.

  • You will be part of a rotating roster that delivers patrolling services 7 days a week in summer.
  • You will work collaboratively within a motivated supervisory team and be responsible for daily operation of ocean lifeguarding services.
  • You will be key to developing casual, seasonal and permanent Lifeguard staff and leading teams across our 17 patrolled beaches.
  • Provide support to Surf Life Saving volunteer patrols on Sunday and Public Holidays

Under Part 2, Section 6 of the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012, this position has been designated as requiring a NSW paid Working With Children Check.

About you

You will be an experienced leader and team player with a positive, collaborative and inclusive approach, who can foster a culture that values all team members by recognising and encouraging individual strengths. In this role you will be key in driving best practice process to improve service and productivity.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • be a dedicated and values driven leader,
  • possess a strong customer focus.
  • have experience in developing and leading staff
  • have strong background in lifeguarding services
  • positively contribute to a team environment
  • be a proactive self-starter

You will need to be physically capable of undertaking the inherit duties of this role as outlined in the position description. This will include:

  • 800m swim in a 50m pool in under 14 minutes
  • lifeguard mission 600m ocean swim, 800m beach run, 600m rescue board paddle, 800m beach run board rescue
