As the Natural Resources Field Assistant, you will assist in the management of natural resources within the Orange City Council Local Government Area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementation and undertaking various environmental activities and works including vegetation control, track installation and maintenance, fencing, erosion control, revegetation, stock maintenance and tree maintenance.
- Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of Natural Resources within the local area
- Liaising and interacting with community groups, council groups and relevant industry stakeholders
About you:
- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent
- Experience in conservation and land management practices including weed control, erosion mitigation and revegetation.
- Demonstrated competency in the use of a wide variety of small plant items and tools e.g. brush cutter, push, out front and ride on lawn mowers; generators, mechanical augers, small power tools
- Current Drivers Licence
- NSW General Construction Induction card
