What You'll Be Doing
As District Clinical Director CAMHS, you will lead the delivery of child and adolescent mental health services across the Murrumbidgee region. This senior position combines strategic leadership with hands-on clinical expertise, ensuring safe, contemporary care for young people and their families.
You’ll Be Responsible For
Driving clinical governance and shaping policies that uphold best practice standards.Leading and supporting CAMHS medical staff, including recruitment, retention, and workforce development.Providing expert advice on clinical matters, planning, and policy to senior leadership.Championing consumer partnerships, using feedback to improve service quality and safety.Delivering community-based clinical services and building capacity within CAMHS teams.Fostering collaboration through district network meetings and stakeholder engagement.

Registered as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with evidence of child and adolescent specialisation and evidence of satisfactory participation on the RANZCP Continuing Professional 'Development ProgramDemonstrated significant experience relevant to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry practice and evidence of competence in Psychiatry skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice including emergency scenarios.Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary clinical governance systems and processes associated with the provision of health care services.Demonstrated ability in developing, implementing and evaluating systems and processes to improve patient safety and ensure quality of care, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to clinical quality improvement and peer reviewDemonstrated clinical leadership experience at a senior level and strong knowledge of medical workforce training, credentialing and supervisory processes with a commitment to continuing medical education relevant to area of practice.Demonstrated high level of skill in the analysis of complex medical policy and planning issues, formulating new approaches and developing comprehensive implementation and improvement strategies.Demonstrated ability to communicate, consult, negotiate and work effectively and harmoniously with the community, senior health professionals, management and staff, consumers, family and carers and Senior Executives of government services.Evidence of a Class C drivers licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
