Bega in Koroit are looking for a new member to join a small team in the Milk room/Separator area. This role is one of a kind in the heart of the factory!
The Role
Bega’s Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually.
This role will be responsible for ensuring all milk is received correctly, processed and distributed to the correct parts of the factory for further processing. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, solve problems fast and can keep a cool head. This role also works with lots of different technology and systems, so a high level of computer skills is essential. This role works on shift: two days, two nights, four days off. Day shift runs from 6am to 6pm, night shift runs from 6pm to 6am. You must be available to work this pattern as there are no changes in shift pattern. We need someone in this space 24/7
Responsibilities
- Safe setup and operation of all equipment in allocated area
- Report all safety, quality and environmental incidents and issues
- Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production related documentation
- Work effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime
- Collaboration with Cross Functional teams
About you
- Previous experience in a Production Operator role, FMCG background desirable
- High level of computer skills – able to use different systems and switch between often
- Ability to work autonomously for long periods of time
- Good on your feet and takes initiative to solve problems
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage stress level while getting the job done
