About the role

The City of Coffs Harbour is excited to share that we are now offering multiple Full-Time Mechanic Workshop opportunities. Do you have experience in the repair and maintenance of light and/or heavy vehicles? Are you searching for a position that will allow for flexibility and work-life balance? If so, then we'd love to hear from you!

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective repair, servicing and maintenance of the City's plant and equipment as per the standards set out by the City and relevant manufacturers, and assist with other duties such as arranging repair work, assessing inventory levels and completing documentation such as asset records, service records and plan sheets. The successful candidate will be driven by their ability to complete tasks accurately, to a high standard, and in a timely manner.

In this role, you may be required to vary your start and finish times between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm, and be on the on-call roster for the workshop for one week approximately every 4 to 5 weeks.

About you?

  • Trade qualifications as a Motor Mechanic.
  • Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of plant.
  • Demonstrated experience in welding and fabrication.
  • RTA vehicle inspection certificate.
  • WHS Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard).

What's on offer?

  • Salary range of $72k - $79k + weekly tool allowance + 11.5% superannuation.
  • Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
  • Options to accrue flex time (RDO's) and flexible working arrangements.
  • Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years.
  • Scope for performance-based salary increases.
