We are seeking an experienced and professional Community Development Manager with a passion for teamwork.
In this role here are some of the accountabilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Community Development Team (including Community Development, Youth Development and Library Services).
- Define and deliver a program of actions and activities to implement community development initiatives.
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Management Group and managers on complex and/or unique matters relating to the community development portfolio.
- Monitor and review the Community Development budget to ensure compliance and completion of projects and programs within time and budget.
- Identify, develop and manage innovative projects that contribute to increasing the capacity of the community to access and use library information and services.
Our preferred candidate would be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Qualifications in Community Development, Social Sciences, Management or similar.
- Minimum five years' work experience in community development (youth services, events, arts, culture, library services) or equivalent, as well as experience leading, coaching and developing teams during times of rapid change.
- Strong understanding of community development principles, engagement strategies, and social inclusion.
- Proven experience in monitoring and applying continuous improvement to the development and delivery of community events, programs and services.
- Proven experience in managing teams, projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships in a local government or community sector setting.

An attractive salary package of up to $189,000 (including superannuation and vehicle allowance) is on offer dependent on experience.
