This is a Permanent Full-Time position. Salary $86,176 to $101,510 per annum plus superannuation. (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications.)

What you will be doing:

  • Be a key member of a small team that delivers Council's Budget and Reporting functions.
  • Provide exceptional service and support for the organisation and operational managers / teams in setting and managing their budget and reporting.
  • Provide business analysis, support grants and restricted asset process and support asset projects through effective budgeting, timely transactions and reconciliations.

  • Play an active role in the review and continuous improvement of systems, process, and policy to ensure that they address the business requirements of Council and all its internal and external customers.

About you

  • You will have the ability to build effective and constructive business relationships and have well developed communication skills to work with, understand, support, influence, inform, educate and negotiate with our people at all levels of the organisation.
  • You will have accounting experience with a strong emphasis on budget preparation and review, financial analysis, presentation and reporting.
  • You will need to be an accounting professional with high level organisational and technical skills who has completed an appropriately recognised accounting degree level qualifications.
  • You will have experience in the use of Financial Management Information Systems, spreadsheets and other office applications.
