About the role

We have not one, but TWO permanent, full-time roles in Council’s Maintenance team, based at the Batemans Bay and Moruya Depots. Your main duties will include:

  • Preparing and monitoring projects for construction works and maintenance tasks.
  • Managing staff, contractors and sub-contractors, including providing feedback on team performance and training in relevant projects.
  • Actively performing physical labouring and other construction or maintenance manual activities.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $2,989.97 to $3,287.93 gross per fortnight comprising:

  • $2,643.75 to $2,910.98 base salary
  • $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions allowance
  • $308.38 to $339.11 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)

A fully maintained Council vehicle for to/from home use is also available with this position!

About you

The ideal candidate will be a great leader who can manage people well and is prepared to do the hard work alongside their team. This role will be mostly responsible for supervising our Maintenance crew and tasks, organising and overseeing projects in construction works and maintenance. A successful application must have the following:

  • A Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or equivalent, or able to complete (with Council assistance).
  • Experience in a civil construction and/or civil maintenance environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
