About the role

Do you love working with people and have a passion for libraries and community spaces? We’re looking for friendly and motivated Library Assistants to help deliver outstanding library services across Coffs Harbour’s vibrant branches—Harry Bailey Memorial Library, Toormina, and Woolgoolga—and support cultural activities at Yarrila Place. In this varied role, you’ll assist customers at the service desk, support library programs and events, and help make our spaces welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for everyone in the community.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Delivers friendly, professional customer service with a positive attitude
  • Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
  • Has strong digital skills and can confidently assist others with technology
  • Is flexible and willing to work across multiple library locations and across a 7-day roster
  • Shows initiative and is eager to support library programs, events, and outreach
  • Ideally has experience in libraries, cultural facilities, or community-focused roles

What’s on offer?

  • $34.42 per hour + Superannuation + 3% salary increase in July 2025
  • 2x permanent part-time positions of 14-hours per week available
