Leading Hand - Maintenance Grader

The Package: $1,331.02 - $1,470.74 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.

Are you looking for a role that will help shape the future of our roads and create real impact in the local community? Council is seeking an experienced grader operator to join our Maintenance Team as a Leading Hand.

In this role you will:

• Supervise and lead staff to complete a range of tasks associated with Road Maintenance.
• Operate, maintain and service motor grader, smooth drum roller and water truck, as well as any other relevant machinery and equipment.
• Comply with workplace health and safety and ensure worksite traffic control is compliant and appropriately set up.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has demonstrated experience in a similar role or extensive knowledge of the equipment and works.
• Proven capability to effectively supervise and motivate staff to complete activities within an agreed time.
• Possesses a current NSW MR driver’s licence, General Construction Induction NSW (white card) and Work Zone Traffic Control – Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan accreditations.
