The Package: $1,331.02 - $1,470.74 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.

Do you have experience in road maintenance and looking to make a real impact in your local community? The Transport Maintenance team is looking for a leader to undertake and supervise a range of works that will make our streets safer and more accessible to the masses.

In this role you will:

• Providing supervision, assistance and maintenance of Council footpath assets across Queanbeyan and the surrounding areas.
• Operating and maintaining the Council’s vehicles and equipment.
• Overseeing and supporting with road, drainage, concrete and timber construction and maintenance.
• Participating in delivery of worksite traffic control, placement of signs and checking of existing signage.

We are looking for someone who:

• Relevant experience in a similar role of construction and maintenance.
• Proven ability of effectively supervise staff to complete activities within an agreed time period.
• Possesses a current MR drivers license, and Work Zone Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan accreditations are essential.
