Multiple Outdoor positions available in our Roads teams.

We are looking for skilled operators and people who have never worked in roads before to fill multiple positions.

The Positions

These positions are hands-on, working with tools, rollers, water carts, excavators, backhoes, trucks and more, and we want newbys, as well as experienced operators to apply.

If you have never worked in roads or civil construction before, we offer training and development of your skills through a career development program. If you are experienced we’d love to see you slot into our teams and put your skills to good use from day 1.

The work is varied, and typically involves working on our highways & local and urban road networks, and all the tasks that involves, including traffic control, verge and drainage work, as well as operating our plant.

About You

Your most important skill will be your ability to work well in a team environment, follow instructions and your keenness to learn civil construction.
If you have experience with plant, let us know, if you don’t we will teach you. You will have a Drivers Licence and the fitness to carry out the job. You will be able to complete standard forms and be willing to get various training and certifications. A WHS General Construction Induction (White Card) is also a good start, and you will need to pass Council’s standard pre-employments checks. You may also be asked to be available for an on-call roster if required.

What we Offer

This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week). The position falls under the Local Government (State) Award 2023 and has a fortnightly day off. The actual pay rate will vary based on your previous experience and skills. Wages start at $1044.00/week ($54,288.00 per year plus Superannuation and allowances).
