This is a Permanent Full-Time position. Salary: $63,982.98 up to $72,076.51 per annum plus superannuation
(Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)

About the role

This position involves undertaking repetitive manual tasks relating to construction and general civil maintenance activities. Applicants should be suitably fit to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description.
The position is also based on a 9 day fortnight with a regular roster day and may include overtime and weekend work as required.

What you will be doing:

Everyday you will be allocated different jobs depending on the work schedule. A typical day may include:

  • Toolbox talks
  • Assisting in Concrete formwork construction.
  • Concrete pouring, finishing slabs, footpaths, kerb and gutter.
  • Assisting in Machine lay (and manual finishing) of kerb and gutter.
  • Taking direction from Leading Hand
  • Repair of road surfaces including use of asphaltic concrete and bitumen.
  • Excavating earth or rock to set levels.
  • Installing signs of various sizes, which includes minor excavation, concreting, using ladders and m small power tools.
