What is required?
Construction Officer – Water and Wastewater
Provide high level labouring support to construct and maintain the Shire’s drinking water, recycled water and wastewater infrastructure.
If appropriately licenced, operate and maintain a tipper truck, all other plant and machinery as required and undertake labouring duties associated with the construction, repair and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Candidate specifics:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission and a safe driving record.
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
- Current immunisation against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B viruses or willingness to participate in an immunisation program.
Highly Desirable
- Current Class HR driver licence with an ability to operate a manual transmission and a good and safe driving record.
Desirable
- Backhoe ticket.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of relevant plant items, and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Proven basic understanding of the operational requirements of water and wastewater reticulation networks.
Additional Notes:
Grade 4 or 5 (depending on experience and truck/plant experience)
Field based position
High vis wear, safety boots, sun protection
