About the Opportunity

Glenelg Shire Council are looking for a dynamic Information and Data Coordinator to lead the charge in delivering high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused information and data management services across Council. This is a 6 month, fixed, full time contract.

In this key leadership role, you’ll guide and grow our Information and Data Unit - driving a culture that values strong records management, data integrity, and legislative compliance. From shaping innovative processes and organisational action plans to supporting the rollout of our Information Technology and Information & Data Strategy, you'll be at the forefront of building smarter systems and better outcomes.

What you need to Succeed

 

To excel in this role, you’ll bring a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership capability, including:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information and Data Management, or extensive experience with a lesser qualification.
  • Proven leadership experience in information and data management (Local Government experience a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and motivate.
  • Experience with Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams including experience managing records and data in Microsoft 365, including lifecycle, protection, and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation, with experience delivering compliance and risk-focused programs.
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
