About the Role

In the role of our People and Values Advisor, you will be at the heart of shaping our organisational culture and enhancing our workforce capabilities. This role is fundamental in developing, implementing, and upholding human resource and risk management services.

Your day-to-day will involve leading the complete recruitment lifecycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding to maintaining records and managing contracts. You will be signing up and supporting apprentices, assisting in performance management processes and projects that align with our strategic objectives.

Beyond the operational, you will provide support and guidance for our organisation, ensuring that our practices not only meet the standards of best practice, Award, and legislative frameworks but also resonate with our core values of community, integrity, respect, commitment, unity, and trust.

Your insights, advice and good attitude will be crucial in showcasing our commitment to a positive workplace culture, encouraging continuous learning, and advocating for employee engagement at every level.

About You

As our ideal candidate you will be:

  • Knowledgeable in the Human Resources domain, with a/or working towards a Cert IV in Human Resources.
  • A natural communicator, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Skilled in navigating the complexities of HR, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Passionate about people development, with an interest in fostering an inclusive and positive work environment.
  • Aligned with our core values and driven to contribute to the growth and success of Narrabri Shire Council and its workforce.
