We are a progressive local government authority employing approximately 150 dedicated employees.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the Technical Services team, this position:

  • undertakes field-based inspections, investigations and provides technical support to project delivery staff within the areas of Quality Assurance, Environmental Compliance and Work Health and Safety
  • maintains and updates Council’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Works with the Safety Coordinator, Environmental Officer, Engineers and supervisors to improve and develop forms and procedures for use by field staff.

The ideal candidate will have

  • tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in relevant areas of Quality Assurance, Environmental Compliance or Work Health and Safety.
  • experience in the application and improvement of management systems and their application to construction and maintenance activities.

To succeed in the role, you will have the ability to manage internal and external relationships to ensure QA, WHS and Environmental programs are undertaken and completed on time and within budget.

Annual salary of $81,855 to $93,323 (plus super).

Please note:  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.  For a continuing position, you must be an Australian New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
