What you need to know...

  • temporary full time for up to 2 years - 76 hours per fortnight
  • the package: $86,614, plus superannuation, per annum. This salary takes into account payment for all hours worked, including those worked on weekends and public holidays and allowances. 
  • location - Yamba

About the role

Clarence Coast Holiday Parks are the Crown land Managers for the largest group of Holiday Parks in the Clarence Valley. Calypso Holiday Park is in the heart of Yamba close to magnificent beaches, shops, clubs and on the shores of the Clarence River. With some of the best fishing and surfing on the east coast Yamba has become a popular tourist destination for all ages. We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager to manage the day to day operations, manning levels, ordering and guest experience of the Holiday Park. With a diverse role no two days look the same.

The successful candidate must possess.

• Previous experience in managing or supervising a team of employees in all aspects of Holiday Park operation. (Guest services, Housekeeping and Grounds and Maintenance) • Manage the ordering of cabin consumables, cleaning chemicals and maintain all stock levels 
• Ensure optimal staffing levels and roster in accordance with occupancy within the holiday park.
• Be a hands-on leader and by having experience in all aspects of operational management and industry standards. • Conduct orientations and ensure all staff are appropriately trained in their roles.
• Manage guest expectations and experiences and resolve conflict resolution with guests in a timely manner.
• Availability to work on a 7 day roster and be available to work weekends and certain public holiday and be on call. • Be well presented and have a friendly disposition towards guests.

This position is located at Council's Calypso Holiday Park, Yamba,  however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
