Yass Valley Council is seeking a highly motivated, suitability qualified and experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our Workshop team.
YOUR ROLE
Undertake effective maintenance and repair of Council's fleet and plant assets.
YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT (for eligible employees)
- A 38-hour working week, over a 9-day fortnight
- Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years
- 4 weeks paid annual leave
- Access to 3 weeks sick leave per year, cumulative where unused

- Base annual salary between $63,752.00 - $68,852.16 per annum plus 11.5% Superannuation
- Guaranteed salary increase of 3% in July 2025

The Infrastructure & Assets Directorate comprises Waste Services, Roads Delivery, Facilities Maintenance, Workshop, Recreational Services, Water & Wastewater, Engineering Services, Facility & Waste Assets. The role of Heavy Plant Mechanic is located within the Workshop team.
