The Opportunity
We are currently seeking vibrant and enthusiastic Gym Supervisors to join our team on a casual basis to assist in the daily operations of our Leisure Centre's.
You will work as part of a dedicated and passionate team to deliver quality services to the community. You will be self-motivated and customer focused. Your proactive and friendly attitude, previous experience in a Gym Supervisory role and outstanding communication skills will be key to your success in this role. Under Part 2, Section 6 of the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012, this position has been designated as requiring a paid NSW Working With Children Check. Applicants are required to provide a Working With Children Check application/clearance reference number with their application.
We are offering casual positions that will operate at Lakeside Leisure Centre and Beaton Park Leisure Centre. While, we have a range of hours available, our current priority is to cover early mornings (5.45am-9am), late afternoon/evenings (5pm-10pm), and weekend shifts (6am-6pm) to meet operational requirements. Uniform and PPE provided.
The salary for this role is $41.66 per hour plus superannuation and 25% casual loading.
About you
You provide quality customer service to customers of the Leisure Centre with various backgrounds. You clearly demonstrate an understanding of all reception control systems. You have a genuine interest in helping the local community will see you respond to all customer inquiries/complaints/first aid requirements quickly and effectively.
You have excellent knowledge of the Centre's operating hours, programs, facilities, fees and class timetables. Providing timely advice to all customers regarding exercise principles and programs and support them on their journey is critical. You will use your industry skills to design, prescribe and implement exercise and physical activity interventions for individuals and groups of all ages, fitness and health backgrounds. You prioritise screening of customers as to their suitability for participating in the Centre's programs wherever possible. Your work is underpinned by Fitness NSW Code of Practice Guidelines.
You have strong communication skills to contribute to a cohesive team environment and effective communication with other Leisure Centre Staff.
You have an eye for detail will assist in the development and enhancement of the relevant components of the Centre's Operations Manual.
