The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a diligent individual to manage the GIS & SCADA telemetry/communication network, control systems and information management. This role includes maintenance, repair and capital works associated with water and sewerage assets working with various internal and external resources.

As a GIS & SCADA Support Technician, you will perform maintenance, repairs and capital works on water supply and sewerage assets, including maintaining and developing support systems and standards for GIS and SCADA, and performing inspections to monitor the performance and condition of Water and Sewerage SCADA infrastructure. You will prepare equipment and materials requisitions and oversee the completion and authorisation of a range of workplace documentation.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds the following qualifications:

  • Certificate IV level in Information Technology/Systems or related field
  • SafeWork NSW Construction Induction
  • Provide First Aid
  • Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
  • Qualifications in electrical engineering, computer systems technology, systems engineering or a closely related field with relevant experience (desirable)
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Experience in maintenance and management of GIS & SCADA software applications.
  • Demonstrate application of stakeholder engagements, process improvements and change control to provide quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of a personal computer and the associated use of Microsoft software packages including Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Satisfactory oral and written communication skills including detailed interpretation and explanation of plans, drawings and schedules.

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $92,286.77 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,591.70 per week base salary
  • $183.05 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
