Your New Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Coordinator GIS to lead our GIS team and manage GIS products and services across the Council. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive
GIS strategy to support various Council functions, including planning, operations, asset management, and community services. You will oversee the management of spatial data assets and systems, ensuring their accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance policies. Additionally, you will deliver high-quality spatial analysis, mapping, and data visualisation services to both internal departments and external stakeholders.
Your leadership will foster a high-performance, collaborative culture within the GIS team, and you will drive innovation by integrating GIS with corporate systems and staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.

About You:
The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in GIS or a related discipline and have demonstrated experience in a leadership or project management role within the GIS field.
Your proven leadership and team management skills, will demonstrate a track record of setting direction, supervising staff, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Expertise in GIS systems and spatial analysis, including the use of industry-standard software (e.g., ArcGIS, FME), is essential. You will also have the ability to think strategically, integrate GIS with corporate systems, and manage projects and budgets effectively.
Your role will be pivotal in enhancing transparency and community engagement through interactive mapping tools and supporting emergency management activities with timely spatial data and analysis.
