We are seeking a passionate and motivated self-starter with experience using GIS to administer, maintain, develop and implement standards, policies and best practice processes to ensure operational effectiveness, security and integrity of the Engineering Geographic Information and related datasets.    

About the role:

  • Provide specialist technical advice and support for a range of special-purpose activities and projects
  • Management of GIS data and database administration
  • Problem solve complex database problems using analysis of information to ensure continuity of GIS services
  • Assist the Geospatial Analyst in administrating spatial asset datasets of water, wastewater, roads and stormwater.

  • a base salary ranging from $81,860 per annum with competency-based increments up to $96,965 annum, plus 11.5% super
  • a maximum-term contract up to 20 months, with the possibility of extension or permanency subject to performance, funding and operational need

We are seeking:

  • Degree qualification in GIS or a related discipline and/or significant industry experience working with Geographic Information Systems and Spatial Information.
  • Knowledge of principles, standards and techniques associated with data management in a corporate environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
