We have an exciting opportunity for a General Hand to join our Parks team!

Joining our Parks team gives you the opportunity to work in the beautiful New England outdoors offering a wide range of tasks, meaning no 2 days are the same.

As a part of your new role, we will support you in completing a Certificate III in Horticulture, as well as other training opportunities. We also need you to participate in weekend work and overtime where necessary.

This role will see you carrying out general turf maintenance and renovations as directed including the mowing of nature strips, parks, reserves and cemeteries. You will also assist in the construction and maintenance of gardens and the daily maintenance of picnic areas, amenities and public spaces. You will take pride in ensuring Armidale is showcased to the highest standard. 

As a bonus, working at Council you also get the benefit of a 9 day fortnight!
