What you need to know...

We are recruiting for multiple Gallery Assistant positions: 

Temporary three to six month part time term contract, with possibility of becoming permanent part time

  • part time 
  • the package: $29.82 - $35.57 per hour, plus superannuation
  • location: Grafton Regional Gallery 

Casual contract

  • hours as required
  • the package: $29.82 - $35.57 per hour, plus 25% casual loading, plus superannuation
  • location: Grafton Regional Gallery 

About the role

The Gallery Assistant position assists with a range of duties associated with Gallery operations to enhance visitor experience and exhibition presentation at the Grafton Regional Gallery. The role supports front of house gallery operations as required, as well as exhibition installation, object handling, and events.

This position is a casual role requiring out of hours and weekend work.

To be considered for this position you will need to:

  • Address the essential criteria
  • Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position. You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.
  • Target questions - answer the 3 target questions - maximum 300 words each question
    Q1. Given an example of a difficult customer service situation that you have dealt with. Describe how you managed the situation and what was the outcome.
    Q2. Describe some examples of work that you have done independently or with little direction.
    Q3. Tell us how you plan and deliver tasks to meet deadlines?

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Grafton Regional Galley, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
