What you need to know...

  • permanent full time - 76 hours per fortnight
  • the package: $54,365 - $64,832 plus superannuation, per annum
  • location - Grafton
  • 9 day fortnight 
  • access to fitness passport

About the role

Are you someone who likes to work  in a team environment, can deliver professional customer interactions with the community and has an eye for detail to ensure the safety of your teammates and the community.

We have a vacancy in our Civil Services Section for people interested in working as a Field Operator (General) within our Unsealed Roads Team.  We are looking for an operator with experience in a range of plant items such as: - HR truck - Water cart operations - Roller operations - Grader operations, if you have experience in these items of plant feel free to apply.

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

Council applies the definition of Aboriginality as defined in the NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983. The Act requires a person to, be of Aboriginal decent, identify as an Aboriginal person and be accepted by the Aboriginal community in which he/she lives. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants must demonstrate Aboriginality in addition to addressing the selection criterion.

Applicants can demonstrate their Aboriginality by:

  • demonstrating membership of a Local Aboriginal Land Council; or
  • presenting a certificate or paper confirming Aboriginality from a recognised Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community organisation with a common seal.

A probation period applies to this position.
