Location: Nairne, South Australia
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year plus superannuation
A busy regional hotel in Nairne, South Australia is seeking a qualified Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
This position is suited to a chef with experience working in a busy hotel or pub bistro environment who can maintain food quality and consistency during high-volume lunch and dinner service.
Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards

Assist with menu planning and development of seasonal dishes and specials

Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and hygiene standards

Monitor portion control and food quality during service

Assist with ordering, stock rotation and stock control

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff during busy service periods

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations
Skills and Experience

Relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Minimum 2 years experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen

Experience working in a busy hotel or pub bistro environment preferred

Ability to manage high-volume lunch and dinner service

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team
Employment Details

Full-time position – 38 hours per week plus reasonable additional hours

Evening, weekend and public holiday work required as part of a rotating roster

Salary $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience
