The role & you

Are you interested in joining our Civil Construction team at MidCoast Council? Our Labourer positions are a great opportunity to kickstart your career in the civil construction industry where you can get your hands dirty and make a real impact on services that strengthen the local community.

We are now taking expressions of interest for Labouring roles based at our Gloucester Depot.

The key responsibilities of the role include carrying out maintenance and construction duties in relation to roads, bridges and drainage and performing traffic control duties when required. We are seeking reliable, team-focused individuals who thrive in a physical work environment and who demonstrate a genuine interest in the civil construction industry.

Successful candidates will hold a current NSW drivers' licence and possess a WorkCover accredited White Card. You will also need to be willing to obtain a Traffic Controller's Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans Card.

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component).

Salary: Commencing salary range circa $50,600 to $55,700 p.a. plus superannuation (dependent on skills and experience).  

Location: Your normal place of work will be the Gloucester Depot at Oak Street, Gloucester NSW 2422. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region. 

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
