The opportunity
Imagine getting your hands dirty with projects like Rise and Shine, Bushcare, Dunecare, and Fiready, coming together with like-minded volunteers and team members to restore Wollongong's beautiful natural areas. You will be a leader in following safe work practices and keeping work plans up-to-date.
Guide and coordinate volunteer activities, from strategic weed control to rubbish removal. Work with internal staff and contractors to support these efforts. Plus, you will keep our information systems in tip-top shape, recording things such as volunteer hours, site reports, plant requests, training and safety issues, statistics, volunteer groups, and more.
Be the go-to person for advice on ecological restoration, helping to develop site plans, and supporting our fantastic volunteer coordinators. Recruit new volunteers, celebrate their hard work, and share successes through sustainability newsletters.
Foster collaboration and effective communication among stakeholders, create a vibrant, informed community dedicated to environmental conservation. Lead dynamic and engaging educational sessions and deliver innovative best practices workshops. Make a positive impact and have fun doing it.

Under Part 2, Section 6 of the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012, this position has been designated as requiring a paid Working With Children Check.
This is a Permanent Part time position working 21 hours per week with a combination of weekday and weekend work. Salary from : $44.08 up to $52.28 per hour plus superannuation.
