ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are seeking an energetic and hard working trade qualified electrician to join Councils Facilities Management section.

Reporting to the Team Leader Electrical Services, this position is responsible for providing high level support and expertise in relation to all Council’s electrical installation and maintenance functions. The position is broad and provides the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of specialised electrical components. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to leverage their electrical expertise in a diverse role!

A key focus of this position will be to work constructively with the team to support efficient service delivery and the achievement of goals and objectives.

To be successful you will bring

  • Electrical trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in domestic, commercial and industrial wiring systems.
  • Proven experience working in control circuit wiring and electrical circuit fault finding.
  • Proven ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
  • Demonstrated sound communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven experience in the direction and supervision of apprentices and contractors.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in Microsoft 365 and other corporate software.

The rewards

  • An annual salary range of $66,300 to $76,100 (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
  • 9 day fortnight working arrangement. Council is currently trialling a range of flexible working options. Full time field staff will have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational and team based requirements and approval.
