Join Our Team as a Temporary Full-Time Electrical & Control Systems Technician – Until June 2026!
Are you ready to showcase your expertise in electrical and control systems while making a meaningful impact on our Water Services assets? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our critical infrastructure.
The Opportunity
As an Electrical & Control Systems Technician, you'll be instrumental in facilitating technical electrical works within Council's Water Services assets. From preventive maintenance to managing critical spares, you'll ensure the seamless delivery of planned and reactive works in a systematic and safe manner. The tasks to be undertaken are generally covered by practices and procedures, expenditure levels have been predetermined as have resources and plans where works are required.
Essential Criteria
- Fully qualified and licence Electrician with minimum five (5) years trade experience post qualification in preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated comprehensive experience and knowledge in Electrical, Automation hardware, PLC ladder programming, SCADA, IP radios and other control system instrumentation.
- Proven ability in the of computer applications including email, Microsoft Office suite and other technical applications relevant to position.
- Comprehensive knowledge of appropriate legislations including Work Health and Safety Act and regulations, and relevant legislation practices and procedures related to electrical work.
- Well-developed analytical skills and demonstrated innovative and flexible approach to fault finding and problem solving for various electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to provide clear, well-constructed directions and advice.
- Hold a current C Class drivers’ licence, WHS Induction Card, Confined Space Entry Certificate, Working from Height ticket, and willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment Low Voltage Panel Rescue ticket.
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement.
- Be willing to Complete immunisation record of Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus
