Reports to: Early Childhood Teacher/Children's Services Coordinator
Salary Range: $1,155 - $1,319 per 35 hour week + superannuation
As Educator, you will be a key part of our Children's Services team, fostering the physical, emotional, cognitive and social development of the children of our community. You will help to create a safe, welcoming and caring environment where children can learn, play, and grow. In this role you will support the creation and delivery of education programs, designed to be engaging and inclusive and to cultivate curiosity and a love of learning. Working with the team, you will help to create a secure and safe environment for children to learn and develop, build strong relationships with families encouraging open communication, and maintain professional standards and compliance to early childhood practices, policies and regulations.
We currently have 2 positions available and are looking for someone who is creative, patient, empathetic, and passionate about early childhood education. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a good knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices, excellent skills in observation and assessment, strong planning and organisation skills.

This position is located in the beautiful town of Coonabarabran, known as the Astronomy Capital of Australia, which is midway between Melbourne and Brisbane and is known for its beautiful landscape and stunning night skies. The town has medical services, excellent schools, a variety of sporting and social clubs and a thriving tourism Industry. With the nearby Warrumbungle National Park, which is also Australia’s first Dark Sky Park, there is plenty to do and explore whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation.
Selection criteria include:
- ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is a minimum – it would be advantageous if you hold the Diploma or are working towards it
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications
- Demonstrated understanding of the EYLF and NQF
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
- Understanding of work health and safety (WHS) in the workplace, commitment to a positive contribution to WHS in the workplace and compliance with Council and legislative requirements
- Previous experience is desirable, but not essential
- Class C driver’s licence.
