About the role

We are seeking a committed Teacher Aide with experience in education. The role includes:

  • Assist in the delivery of evidence-based intervention programs. This involves working closely with students to improve foundational skills and helping them reach targeted academic milestones.
  • Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and ensure they understand key concepts. Support classroom teachers by providing additional attention to students needing guidance, fostering an inclusive and productive learning environment.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to implement tailored educational strategies that meet individual student needs. Provide guidance on effective differentiation techniques and inclusive practices.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers to share observations, update on student progress, and adapt interventions as necessary. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices for student support.
  • Provide direct learning support to students across all grade levels (P-6), addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges through targeted interventions and strategies, including small group withdrawal.
  • Assist students in developing positive behaviours, self-regulation, and emotional resilience.
  • Be able and willing to drive a 12 seater school minibus to support daily school activities.

This full time position (76 hours per fortnight) is term time only (plus 2 additional working weeks for professional development). It is a fixed term role for 2026 only and will commence January 2026.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Evidence of the right to work in Australia
  • Proof of identity
  • Clearance status of the Working with Children Check
  • Statements of service from previous child-connected roles
  • References from previous child-connected roles
  • Certificate III/IV in Education Support (preferred or willing to engage in further training)
