Council’s Community Care Branch is recruiting for the position of Early Years Outreach Worker.
About the Opportunity
Your focus is on enhancing early childhood education and support for CALD families by:
- Boosting kindergarten enrolment and attendance for three- and four-year-old CALD children.
- Facilitating smooth transitions for CALD children into kindergarten and school.
- Raising community awareness and family participation in early childhood programs.
- Encouraging engagement with additional local early childhood supports, such as playgroups and Maternal and Child Health services.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Community Services with little or no experience or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and relevant experience.
- Experience in understanding and communicating with CALD community.
- Current employee Working with Children’s Check.
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $77,725.96 to $89,201.84 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
