Council’s Community Care Branch is recruiting for the position of Early Years Outreach Worker.

About the Opportunity
Your focus is on enhancing early childhood education and support for CALD families by:

• Boosting kindergarten enrolment and attendance for three- and four-year-old CALD children.
• Facilitating smooth transitions for CALD children into kindergarten and school.
• Raising community awareness and family participation in early childhood programs.
• Encouraging engagement with additional local early childhood supports, such as playgroups and Maternal and Child Health services.

What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Community Services with little or no experience or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and relevant experience.
• Experience in understanding and communicating with CALD community.
• Current employee Working with Children’s Check.
• Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.

Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $77,725.96 to $89,201.84 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
