About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a full time Early Childhood Teacher to work at Scallywags Long Day Care and Preschool.
The successful applicant will be experienced, self-motivated and passionate about the education and care of young children and who would like to be to be part of an organisation that values the wellness, safety and education of children aged 0-5 years.
The Centre provides a high level of education and care and is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher that will assist in making the service a point of difference from other child care providers.
This position works alongside a team of professionals responsible for room management, child health and safety, education and planning and to enrich children’s lives through play-based learning.
Key Requirements
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualifications approved by ACECQ
- Hold a current registration with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Experience in the provision of producing quality educational programs for children aged 0 to 5 years of age, in particular Pre-School education
- The ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with children their families
- Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 through the provision of a Working with Children Check clearance.
- Current approved First Aid qualification, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualification
- Must be able to satisfy the criteria for appointment as person in day-to-day charge of the service

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,310.30 - $1,376.66 per week + superannuation
Position Status: Permanent Full-Time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm on a rotating roster and rostered day off every three weeks
