About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, client focused Senior Accountant to join our friendly, collaborative team within our Southport office. 

Your focus will be on delivering high-quality accounting and tax compliance work, while building strong client relationships and developing your technical capability.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns - individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs

  • Manage BAS, IAS and ATO compliance obligations across your client portfolio

  • Support and mentor junior accountants within the team

  • Collaborate with clients to resolve queries and assist with tax planning activities

  • Manage your own workflow and deadlines within a structured team environment

This role gives you the opportunity to strengthen both your technical skills and your confidence in managing client relationships - without losing the support around you.

About You 

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • CA or CPA qualification (or near completion) 

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in public practice - Business Services focus

  • Proficiency with Accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks)

  • Solid understanding of Australian Tax across a range of entity types

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff (desirable)
