Enable Hub is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker - Female with strong qualifications to join our team. This is a caual role based in Windsor NSW, offering an exciting opportunity to work with complex cases and grow into a senior support position. About this Role

At Enable Hub we are looking for compassionate Disability Support Worker - Female who is looking to apply their talents and efforts in helping the community members who most need it.

Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Personal care and daily living assistance: Support clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in-home support and community access.

  • Provide direct assistance to each client in accordance with their individual care plan, which also include activities of daily living and personal care.

  • Community access and social support: Support clients to access activities and outings in the community.

  • Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures and client rights.

  • Participate in the Lifestyle Service Planning process for individual clients and monitor outcomes.

  • Work with clients, family/carers, relevant case managers and other professionals to support the client's individual goals.

  • Liaise extensively with the Enable Hub team to ensure the provision of safe and client- care.

  • Communication and documentation: Report regularly to the manager, and provide a written report of the shift daily.

  • Updated knowledge and information about the contents of the NDIS system and provide care accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged care or Disability or Individual Support or in relevant care experience

  • Valid Driving License of Australia

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Valid Working with Children Check

  • Current Criminal Record Check (within 1 year)

  • CPR and Current First Aid Certification (within 1 year)

Desirable competencies and experiences:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in disability or aged care or community support.

  • Experience with complex disabilities is highly regarded.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of disability support practices, excellent communication and documentation skills, ability to mentor others, and knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches

  • Demonstrated proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, priorities and organize work / caseload.

  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development, quality improvement.
