Its offices in Hobart are situated in the center of the city close to the Commonwealth Law Courts and the Supreme Court of Tasmania. About The Role

Butler, McIntyre and Butler are seeking a talented Conveyancing Paralegal to support our team. This position presents an opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a professional and fast paced environment. 

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, integrity, drive to learn and develop their skills and a strong commitment to working in the legal industry. No formal qualifications are mandatory for this position. However, experience in residential conveyancing or external study towards an appropriate qualification (such as legal studies, conveyancing or business administration) is considered highly desirable.

The position consists of conducting residential conveyancing matters, including answering client enquiries, preparation of conveyancing documentation and carrying matters to settlement, while delivering high-quality client service and supporting the broader conveyancing practice in the firm.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Products

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and co-operatively, both orally and in writing, with clients, staff and partners of the firm;

  • High level of attention to detail and organisational ability with sound time-management skills;

  • Self motivated, with well developed personal management skills to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines;

  • Ability to work both independently and contribute effectively within a small team environment;

  • Good personal presentation.
