About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and reliable male Disability Support Worker to support participants who require assistance from male staff due to personal care needs, behavioural support plans, or cultural preferences. This requirement is in accordance with Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, and is a genuine occupational qualification for this role, and is not intended to exclude or disadvantage applicants based on gender.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide meaningful, person-centred support to NDIS participants across various settings and levels of need. This includes assistance with personal care, daily living activities, skill-building, and community participation. You will foster independence, uphold dignity, and adapt to each individuals’ needs and goals.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- 
Delivering personalised support aligned with NDIS goals and individual care plans. 
- 
Assisting with daily living tasks including showering, toileting, dressing, and meal preparation. 
- 
Providing community access support such as transport, appointments, and social outings. 
- 
Supporting skill-building and encouraging independence. 
- 
Completing accurate and timely documentation including shift notes and incident reports. 
- 
Following all Care Focused and NDIS compliance, safeguarding, and quality standards. 
- 
Maintaining professional boundaries and promoting participant choice and control, rights and dignity. 
- 
Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals.

Essential Requirements
- 
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain) 
- 
Paid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) 
- 
NDIS Worker Orientation Module 
- 
Current Driver Licence 
- 
Roadworthy vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance 
- 
Right to work in Australia 
Desirable Experience
- 
Prior experience in disability support or community services. 
- 
Experience with personal care, manual handling, and mental health. 
- 
Confidence using digital apps for reporting, training, and documentation. 
- 
Experience with general home maintenance tasks and lawn and garden care. 
- 
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or equivalent (Desirable).
