What you need to know... Development Engineer

  • permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • the package: $98,420 to $117,368 plus superannuation, per annum, plus civil liability allowance
  • location - Grafton or Maclean (to be negotiated)

About the role

Do you want an engineering role where you can make a real difference on the ground? The Clarence Valley Council currently has a vacancy for an experienced Development Engineer or Development Engineering Officer in our Development Services section to deliver best-practice outcomes for our community, the environment and the development industry.

Development Engineer with experience and/or drive to work across a range of engineering disciplines, you will provide professional advice across development applications, civil works and subdivisions, ensuring development is assessed and delivered to best-practice standards. 

The successful applicant will be outcomes-focused to contribute to the creation well-designed, sustainable and connected communities.

Development Engineering Officer - are you a recent graduate, or do you have relevant industry experience but no university qualification? We are also open to receiving applications from graduate level civil engineers (or similar qualification), as well as people with appropriate technical experience.

This position is located at Council's Grafton or Maclean Office (to be negotiated), however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
