Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Part-time Fixed Term Development and Growth Planner to join the Planning and Development Team!
- Part-time Fixed Term June 2025 - January 2026
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary range $44.80 - $53.76 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will undertake planning and development assessment functions along with providing input into Council’s strategic landuse planning priorities, acting a proactive member of the Growth and Liveability Directorate,. This also involves providing a professional and customer focused advisory service to both internal and external customers.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Environmental Science or related discipline
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in Local Government Town Planning
- A good understanding, practical knowledge and ability to interpret town planning legislation and practices and associated legislation to interpret their meaning
- Well developed analytical, investigative, interpretative and problem solving skills
- Highly developed and relevant computer skills
- Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage own time to achieve targets within a set timetable
