The OpportunityWe’re expanding our Townsville team and looking for a talented Structural Engineer who is passionate about developing innovative, practical design solutions. In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive, high‑performing group that collaborates closely to deliver smart, efficient outcomes across both brownfield and greenfield projects. You’ll contribute to the full design lifecycle, producing compliant, high‑quality structural solutions, communicating design intent to stakeholders, and working alongside drafters and multidisciplinary engineers to ensure every project is delivered to our high standards.
ResponsibilitiesProduce and ensure design outcomes comply with applicable legislation, standards, and client project requirementsEffectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholdersContinuous improvement of structural design tools for use across the teamAssisting with construction project delivery outcomes, including occasional site-based work if/as requiredCompleting project management tasks including planning and progress reportingAssisting with the management of small to medium sized projects including collaboration with drafters and engineers of other disciplinesAssist with the preparation and co-ordination of tender submissions and project proposals when requiredDealing with project stakeholders and attending project meetingsOther duties as they arise, ensuring the ongoing provision or our high-quality service delivery to our clients
Here’s what you’ll needBachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)CPEng / RPEQ Qualification (advantageous)You will have at least 3+ years working experience in the mining, minerals processing, energy or heavy industrial sectorsWorking knowledge of Australian StandardsExperience in steel and concrete design, structural dynamics and fatigueExperience with software design packages Strand7, Space Gass, RFEM, etc.You are ambitious, technically minded, and enthusiastic to join a team that offers the opportunity for career development, collective decision making and progression
