About the role

The role of the Data and Analytics Lead is responsible for managing a team to develop and rollout the Central Coast Data Management Framework. The position will be required to lead a team in the design and development of insights by combining a large range of source data to analyse and build visualisations from the available data to indicate service delivery and/ or outcomes. With the overall focus on providing actionable, easy to read and understandable insights to the business and community to obtain current and future performance improvement. 

In addition to leading a team, this role will see you undertaking a range of duties and responsibilities including the need to identify and engage with key stakeholders and data custodians throughout the organisation, providing data advice, communication and ongoing business engagement. Furthermore, you will be required to ensure the development of robust Data Life Cycle Management approaches, with a need to align this approach to Council's proposed Enterprise Information Management Framework and Enterprise Architecture. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Data Science/ Engineering or related field OR solid contemporary equivalent work experience combined with ongoing professional development including Licences and Certification with data management, data analytics or data modelling focus. 
  • A solid background in managing a team responsible for developing data visualisation solutions including developing, implementing, deploying and administering data visualisation using Microsoft Power BI or other Data & Analytics tools. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Data Integration, API and data extracts to ensure a regular and accurate feed of data from the source or other required databases to the corporate Insights tool.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $99.7k - $119.6k plus 11% superannuation plus up to $12.9k market loading for the right candidate.
  • This is a Permanent full-time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role. 
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
